It’s a happy food but sadly, filled with sugar, too. This sugar-free rendition however, can put your worries on the sides. From cake to frosting, sugar is definitely not a problem.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Splenda or Tuvia zero-calorie sweetener/granular
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup Hershey’s natural unsweetend cocoa
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup  vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • pinch of salt
Preparations:

Grease and flour 2 nine-inch round baking pans while you heat up the oven at 350-deg F. Then, mix sugar, cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and pinch of salt in a large glass bowl. Slowly add milk, oil, beaten eggs and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes using a mixer on medium speed. To thin batter, stir in boiling water and then, pour it on the prepared pans. Bake for approximately 35minutes. You may insert a wooden pick to easily gauge if it’s baked. Once the wooden pick comes out clean, you’re good to go. Let cool for 10 minutes and then, frost using sugar free frosting:
Frosting:

Simply melt ½ cup or 1 stick butter and stir in 2/3 cup of Hershey’s natural unsweetend cocoa. Slowly add 3 cups of Splenda or Tuvia zero-calorie sweetener/granular and 1/3 cup milk. Beat until consistency is achieved. Add small amount of additional milk and sir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

NOTE: The secret ingredient in this recipe is the Hershey’s natural unsweetend cocoa in 8-oz cans. For a pack of 6, you can finally make sugar free frosting, cakes, fudge, brownies and other gluten-free desserts.
